Joseph Cumbo Blahg
Dec 3rd
Hey out there everyone. It’s been a crazy
weekend for yours truly…busy…busy
time of the year. I’m sure it’s
the same for everyone I imagine.
I gottta tell you, I’ve been trying to
convince Lawrence to write a Blog so you can
all know what he is about. He’s an interesting
Cat that’s for sure.
Extremely talented, that’s a given as
evident (no pun intended) on our new CD “THIRTEEN”.
That boy can burn up the fret board like no
other.
Great song writer as he has an endless tank
of music in him…and he’s not too
shabby on the producing and engineering part
as well…He did most of both on our new
to be released CD.
Those of you that have downloaded the new CD
from our web site have witnessed this first
hand…the rest will have to wait a month
or maybe more until the CD is released to the
general public.
BUT, this weekend the man was possessed…Man
I’m telling you… he sent over the
Nastiest, Heaviest, Gut Churning tunes that
we as a band have ever worked on.
Don’t know what’s gotten into him
BUT I LIKE IT…He must be pissed off or
something because he is punishing his guitar
and my eardrums with these absolute KILLER RIFFS.
He should be blogging so he could give a little
insight into what’s going on upstairs
in his head, but as mentioned he won’t
freakin’ write his blog as I’ve
instructed him to.
Don’t worry I’ll keep trying for
everyone sake that is interested in this very
private talented individual.
The good thing is the next Sonic X CD…yes;
the one after this new one (which isn’t
even out yet)…is going to be a KILLER
CD. It’s already shaping up to be and
I can’t wait to release that one…Gotta
be patient I tell myself and anyone that will
listen.
Anyway, I’d like to say thank you to
all the people (FANS) that have downloaded our
new CD “THIRTEEN”. We’ve had
a great response so far and we haven’t
even done any promo for the CD yet. All of the
downloads so far have been from our regular
fans that visit our web site.
We hope that if you like the CD you will spread
the word and help us out. Once the CD is officially
released we are going to start working on some
concert dates, as this new CD sounds even better
live. Hell, we may even sneak in a couple of
those killer tracks I mentioned above just to
keep things interesting and tempt our faithful
fans.
Keep watching the Fanzone as we may put some
demos up for download in the near future, just
to gauge the response and see what the real
Sonic X fans think about the songs.
Well gotta run as it’s the end of a very
hectic day and it is very late…if you
haven’t already done so, please download
the new CD “THIRTEEN” right off
our site.
It is safe and secure and the feedback we’ve
been receiving is that it is very easy to do.
Don’t wait until the disc comes out as
it may be a couple of months away…And
remember every download we are going to donate
a portion to the Cancer Society to help fight
the Battle.
Ciao for Now!
Joseph
Hey out there to all our faithful…by
now you’ve noticed that our new web site
is up and running, thanks to the good folks
at IT Media (Terry Sawdon and John Upro especially).
It took a while and we are still refining things
but at least you’ve got some new photo’s
to peruse and other cool things to look at.
The BIG news of course is that our new CD titled
“THIRTEEN” is on the site on our
new Jukebox. You can sample each song and purchase
individual songs or the complete CD right off
our site. Have no fear as the transactions are
secure through Paypal so I hope you all feel
safe enough to try a couple of tunes out or
hopefully purchase the complete CD.
We have a small window of opportunity to sell
the CD through our web site direct without Record
label interference so the downloads are on the
site but only for a limited time. Because we
don’t have to share the wealth we will
be donating a portion of the money received
to the fight against Cancer. So you can’t
lose really, you get great tunes and you also
get to donate to a worthwhile cause.
It took a while for this new CD to be released,
as I’m sure our faithful followers will
tell you. We put a lot of effort in the song
writing and production and in the end we really
like the tunes on the CD. We believe that “THIRTEEN”
represents the band perfectly.
You will notice the CD is very diverse as there
are a lot of different sounding songs and it
makes for an interesting listen I believe. It
seems from the feedback we’ve received
from the people that have heard the CD that
everyone has a different favorite song. I think
that’s a good thing personally as it shows
the songs are strong and we have a lot of good
material on the CD.
If anyone has any feedback I encourage you
to please send us an email at l.a.enterprises@rogers.com
We will read and respond to each and every
email so please have your say and tell us what
you think of the “THIRTEEN”.
So far we’ve received some great emails
and feedback and we appreciate everyone that’s
taken the time to write to us and comment.
The one question that seems to be popping up
the most is, “when can we see Sonic X
live? Well, I’ll be honest…I don’t
know exactly. We are planning to do a bunch
of live shows but we haven’t planned out
just where yet. We do get requests from all
over so it seems like the interest in the Band
is wide spread. We will play live…count
on it and you will hear it here first so you
really just have to keep checking in with us
periodically.
Hey Lawrence even has his live rig all ready
to go and it’s a beast (that’s another
BLOG that will be coming up in the future…Lawrence
and his ever changing gear…arrrrhhhhh).
We will be launching contests from time to
time on our Fanzone where you can win merchandise,
posters, and also a chance to be at the “Sonic
X” CD release party when we officially
release the CD, this will be an invite only
event so keep checking the Fanzone section for
updates. It won’t be for a month or more
so chill for a while but do look for it in 2007.
We’ll my time is up here and I believe
the next BLOG belongs to Adam so look for that
in the next little while. In the meantime, if
there’s anything you would like to see
on our site or think would be cool for us to
have on here, please let us know…again
email us and we will respond.
Oh yea, one last bit of info…I just bought
a new Yamaha 5 string BB2005 model Bass…It
shakes the whole house when I play it, I love
it and can’t wait to play it live and
hear that rumble as me and Michael just shred
that rhythm section…can’t wait!!!
Ciao for now and watch for Adam Troy in this
space soon!!!
