Michael Marquez

Michael Marquez was born & raised in Toronto. His hard hitting, thundering drum style caught the attention of his high school friend Joseph Cumbo who witnessed Michael performing in his first band Aftermath. Joseph later joined Aftermath and a great friendship was started. Michael went on to play in many bands along the way until one day he reunited with Joseph. They recruited Lawrence Falcomer to play guitar and formed a successful local band called L.A. The seeds were then planted, as L.A. would eventually evolve into Zara White and now Sonic X. Michael has played with some of the best musical talents in Canada through the years including members of; The Dice, Alana Myles, Blushing Brides, Midnight Ramblers, Carpet Frogs, The Jitters, The Swag, members of Goddo and the one and only Pop Cherry just to mention a few. Michael's journey as a drummer & musician has also led him to song writing and arranging. His true passion is music and art. Every beat counts!
